Pro.  DPG Learn listed 8 Blogs that a project manager should be following. Even though some of the ranked blogs are not as sophisticated or valuable as others some are very valuable. For example:  Blog 3 Ganttic.com has a list of specific industry blogs to choose from such as engineering or creative design or construction to name a few. The list helps isolate the field a instructional designed actin as a project manager would like to focus on. 

Con.  Unfortunately some blogs are hidden advertisements for software programs or consulting services. Such as Blog 8 Project Management.com which requires a membership fee of $189 to access project management templates after offering "free" templates that are not sufficiently general to help most project managers.

Pro. The single greatest part of Garnet.com is the reviews listed for each Project Management Software program. Many times reviews are hidden. Yet at this site you can see how many ratings each software program has and its rating scores  Smartsheet has the most ratings of 744 indicating the program is frequently used. 

Con. A problem with the website resource is the author does not provide information about personal experience with each software program. The author quotes partial advertisements for each program which can mislead project designers who need reviews by persons who actually used the software. I tried to use a template from some sites and a program from another and either I was going to be billed for the template or the software was not very user friendly.  A common problem using Google is the search results for valuable resources for project management are either sponsored advertisements or webpages with links to products for sale not free resources but using free resources as a way to draw in project managers. .

    Hi Christopher! Thank you for sharing. I enjoyed reading your post and how you included pros and cons to your resources. I liked the link you shared that lists reviews for project management software programs. According to Arya & Kulkarni (2024), project management tools help organizations save twenty-eight times more money than organizations that do not use tools. Before learning more about project management, I did not realize there were tools that could assist in managing projects. These tools make a significant difference when it comes to managing projects and provide more communication, transparency, and keeps everything centrally located. What tools have you used? If you haven’t used any, which are you more likely to use?

Walden University EDUC 6145 Week 3 - Assignment

Interpretation      My first impression of the email is the text was too long and confusing. I wanted the writer to ask if I had the data available not make me review multiple words involving multiple issues in a criss cross fashion. The second modality of a phone call audio message was very nice because the voice was pleasant and you could listen quickly as the person moved from one point to the other. (Had the voice been unpleasant I would have had a different reaction and interpretation) The final modality of video with a live person was two fold. Was the modality a live face to face meeting or a video of a person talking to me about an issue? If a person was live standing next to my cubicle I would enjoy the communication. Listen attentively, take the matter seriously and have the ability to ask questions or make comments quickly.
